TITLE: Israel Trip Diary: One Day in Jerusalem

At the end of April this year, Harvest Time Director Kenichi Nakagawa made a trip to Israel and shot some video footage while he was there. Over the course of the next four programs, we'll be bringing you reports based on what he saw there. This first week's program focuses upon one day he spent in Jerusalem. In the midst of so many terrorist attacks, how do the residents of Jerusalem live their lives? He visits a popular shopping area, talks with the staff of Israel College of the Bible, and gets a good view of  Jerusalem from atop the ancient fortress wall of the city.

In this week's program, Harvest Time Director Kenichi Nakagawa visits with Aviel Schneider, publisher of the Israel Today news magazine in Jerusalem. Israel Today is currently published monthly in English and German and is gaining a reputation throughout the world as a reliable Israeli news source. Now plans have been finalized to publish a Japanese-language version of the magazine in September. In this program we talk with Schneider about why he decided to start a news magazine focused on Israel and what his goals for the publication are.

TITLE: Israel Trip Diary: an Invitation to the Wilderness

In this third program of the current series, we take a look at the natural beauty of Israel. This year has seen record-breaking rainfalls in the country, and places that have usually been known as dry river beds are now overflowing with an abundance of water. Harvest Time Director Kenichi Nakagawa visited one of those spots with Israel Today publisher Aviel Schneider and his family. With the help of the Schneider family's four-wheel-drive vehicle, this week we bring you some fascinating shots of the Judean Wilderness.

TITLE: Israel Trip Diary: Hebron, a Troubled Town

In this fourth program, we visit the town of Hebron. Hebron is described in the Old testament as a place connected to Abraham. However, in recent days, it's become known as a flashpoint in the ongoing conflict between Arabs and Jews. Harvest Time's director, Kenichi Nakagawa, has visited Israel almost 40 times over the years, but this was his first trip to Hebron. In this program he visits the place that Abraham bought to bury his wife, Sarah (the Cave of Machpela), pays a visit to the home of an Israeli resident of the town, and gets some interesting information about this fascinating place.
