TITLE: What's Happening Now Among the Jews?
GUEST: Naoji Ishiida
|
|
This
week's
program
calls
attention
to
the
"Asia
Messianic
Forum
2009"
meeting
to
be
held
in
Osaka
(19th-20th)
and
Tokyo
(22nd-23rd)
during
October.
The
conference
will
feature
three
speakers
from
Israel
who
will
focus
on
the
current
state
of
the
Messianic
Jewish
Movement
and
its
meaning
for
believers
in
Japan.
Our
guest
for
today's
program
is
Naoji
Ishiida,
one
of
the
sponsors
for
the
conference
who
recently
traveled
to
Israel
to
interview
a
number
of
Messianic
believers.
In
this
program,
we
watch
two
of
those
interviews
as
Mr.
Ishiida
helps
us
answer
the
question,
"What's
Happening
Now
Among
the
Jews?" |

This
month,
our
Christian
World
News
program
changes
the
format
a
bit
as
we
take
a
look
at
Old
Testament
prophecies
about
Jesus
and
how
they
were
fulfilled
by
His
life.
Our
two
reports,
"Jesus,
the
Lamb
of
God,"
and
"Jesus,
the
Suffering
Servant,"
focus
in
on
the
last
week
of
the
Savior's
earthly
life. |

TITLE: The 45th Harvest Time Holy Land Tour Special, Part 8
|
|
During
every
tour,
when
we're
in
the
Galilee
area,
we
always
get
up
early
one
morning
and
board
a
wooden
tour
ship
that
sails
around
the
Sea
of
Galilee.
It
makes
everyone
feel
like
they're
a
part
of
the
conversations
Jesus
had
with
His
disciples
and
are
experiencing
what
they
experienced.
This
program
combines
beautiful
scenes
of
the
Sea
of
Galilee
with
a
Bible
message
that
speaks
to
the
heart.
Don't
miss
it. |

Our
first
report
focuses
on
North
Korean
refugees,
who
first
began
to
make
the
news
in
the
mid-1990s.
One
of
these,
Seung-min
Kim,
was
a
former
military
officer
who
became
a
Christian
believer.
In
this
report
he
shares
how
God
enabled
him
to
escape
from
the
North
and
how
Christians
should
pray
and
respond
to
his
imprisoned
countrymen.
Next
is a
report
from
China
about
how
religious
freedom
issues
are
playing
out
in
that
country's
ever-changing
social
environment.
Finally,
we
bring
you
a
report
from
New
Zealand
about
how
the
starry
night
sky
is
causing
people
to
acknowledge
the
greatness
of
God's
creation. |

Megiddo
has
been
known
as
an
important
fortress
city
since
ancient
times.
In
this
program,
we
learn
about
the
militarily
strategic
significance
of
this
location.
In
addition,
our
Messianic
Jewish
guide,
Hannah
Cobner,
shares
with
us
about
how
she
came
to
trust
Jesus
as
her
Savior
and
believe
in
Him
as
the
Jewish
Messiah. |

This
week,
we
visit
the
Mediterranean
seaside
town
of
Caesarea,
which
was
built
by
Herod
the
Great
as a
tribute
to
Caesar
Augustus.
In
this
program,
we
walk
among
the
ruins
of
the
ancient
city
and
learn
about
what
life
was
like
for
the
residents
of
that
time.
We
also
look
at
the
Byzantine
Era
ruins
built
by
the
Crusader
armies
and
think
about
the
dark
side
of
Christian
history
--
the
systematic
persecution
of
the
Jewish
people. |

Our
first
report
is
from
Dubai,
a
country
that's
more
than
70%
Muslim.
However,
it's
also
home
to
one
of
the
largest
Christian
churches
in
the
Middle
East.
By
directing
their
ministry
outreach
toward
the
many
foreign
workers
who
come
to
Dubai
for
employment,
the
King's
Revival
Church
has
experienced
explosive
growth
over
the
past
few
years.
Our
second
report
continues
with
that
theme
and
highlights
the
progress
of
other
churches'
evangelistic
outreach
efforts
in
countries
throughout
the
Middle
East.
Finally,
from
Israel,
we
have
a
report
that
examines
the
evidence
related
to
the
resurrection
of
Jesus
Christ.
Was
it
an
actual
historical
event
or
not?
Tune
in
and
find
out
for
yourself. |

TITLE: The 45th Harvest Time Holy Land Tour Special, Part 5
|
|
On
every
Holy
Land
tour,
we
make
it a
point
to
visit
the
town
where
Jesus
grew
up:
Nazareth.
A
short
distance
out
of
the
little
village
is
the
place
known
as
the
Mount
of
the
Precipice,
where
it's
believed
that
the
people
of
Nazareth
attempted
to
kill
Jesus
by
throwing
Him
off
the
mountain
(Luke
4:29-30).
We
visit
the
place
and
Pastor
Nakagawa
talks
about
the
incident,
but
the
weather
was
rainy
and
it
was
difficult
to
see
much
through
the
fog.
Just
before
leaving,
however,
the
skies
cleared
up
and
our
shouts
of
joy
echoed
off
the
hills. |

This
week,
we
bring
you
four
reports.
The
first
two
are
from
Europe:
a
look
a
England's
recent
"Atheist
Bus"
controversy,
and
from
France,
a
report
about
Internet
evangelism.
Next
is a
piece
about
a
church
in
the
U.S.
that
is
helping
families
with
their
finances
by
sponsoring
a
personal
finance
seminar.
Finally,
we
have
some
video
from
China
about
how
a
few
enterprising
Christians
are
using
their
businesses
as a
tool
for
spreading
the
Gospel
of
Jesus
Christ
in
that
atheistic
country. |

TITLE: The 45th Harvest
Time Holy Land Tour Special, Part 4
|
|
After
leaving
Qumran,
we
headed
north
to
the
Galilee
area
and
the
town
of
Nazareth.
Along
the
way,
we
stopped
in
the
Judean
wilderness
and
walked
around
the
area
where
John
the
Baptist
is
reputed
to
have
been
active.
While
there,
Pastor
Nakagawa
brought
a
message
to
help
the
group
envision
life
in
Bible
times.
We
wrap
up
the
program
with
shots
of
an
Israel
rainy
season
shower
as
the
group
arrives
in
Nazareth. |
