TITLE:
Toward True
Self-expression
GUEST:
Ayako Satō
|
|
Courses in "Personal Performance" have become popular recently. Such studies have the objective of helping learners find something good within themselves and express that as precisely as possible. Ayako Satō studied this in the United States and now, as a lecturer and author of 116 books, has become the first to introduce this area of study to Japanese speakers. About the time she received her doctorate, however, her mother passed away. During the following time of shock, a Christian friend who lived nearby invited her to church. In this program, we visit her at her office and she talks about her faith and about a new stage of Personal Performance activities that she's about to embark upon.

TITLE:
A Tiny Life
GUEST:
Hidenori Kumai & Keiichi Kataoka
|
|
The story of Pastor & Mrs. Kenzō Tsujioka -- founders of the "Pro-Life Japan" organization and pioneers in Japan's anti-abortion movement -- has now been published as a manga comic book. Today's guests are Hidenori Kumai, who wrote the dialog, and Keiichi Kataoka, illustrator for the book. Amazingly, while Kumai was working on the story line, he and his wife sensed a leading to adopt a child of their own and did so before the book was published. What kind of drama was going on behind the scenes of this project? In this program, we talk to both guests about their experiences.
