Atsushi Nakajima, younger brother of pro golfer Tsuneyuki Nakajima, operates Tōshōen Golf Club in Ashikaga, Tochigi Prefecture. Last year, he and his staff inaugurated a program they call the Junior Golf School and its stated goal is to teach young people not only golf skills, but skills for life, as well. This concept was begun in the U.S. by an organization called the International Golf Academy (IGA) Mission and now is gaining a reputation here in Japan, as well. In this program, we talk with Atsushi Nakajima and pastor and golf instructor Michiyuki Kawata about the goals of this unique school. |

TITLE : A Master of Sound

December 6th was "Sound Day" in Japan, a date chosen by organizations cooperating with the Japan Audio Society to commemorate the date in 1877 when Thomas Edison invented the phonograph. Each year on this date, the JAS selects a person prominent in the "sound culture" of Japan to receive the "Master of Sound" award. The 2008 recipient of the award was none other than our Harvest Time co-host, Keiko Nakamura. In this program, we bring you some footage of the ceremony itself, with a special focus on Keiko's acceptance speech. |

TITLE : A Breakout Kids' Choir

The Evergreen Choir, formed in 1999, is made up mostly of students from the Momi-no-Ki Kindergarten in Tōkyō's Inagi City. Over the past few years, the group has produced a Gospel music album and appeared in on-stage musicals, garnering quite a name for themselves around the country. This year, as well, they'll be appearing in the musical, "Gift" on November 1st and 2nd. In this program, Evergreen Choir director Yōsuke Monoi and producer Tsutomu Aoki share with us about the history and activities of this unique and talented group. |
