TITLE: Better Than This World's Treasure
GUESTS: Mai Uraoka & Yūji Hisada

As a student, Mai Uraoka had a burden to help in international relief work. Even after beginning her career, she couldn't get the idea of working to help the world's poor out of her heart. Her decision to follow Christ as a believer, however, was the impetus that led her to leave her well-paid position and join the staff of World Vision Japan. This week, we talk with Ms. Uraoka and long-term World Vision child sponsor Yūji Hisada about their experiences with this important work.

TITLE: The Tea Ceremony at Okanoue Chapel

In October, a charity event featuring "sado" -- the Japanese tea ceremony -- was held at Kasukabe Evangelical Free Church's Okanoue Chapel in Saitama Prefecture. The event was a huge success and featured the traditions taught by four different schools of tea ceremony. About 300 people who would ordinarily have no connection with a church were in attendance. In this program we show you some scenes from the event and talk with pastor and tea ceremony master Toshio Takahashi about why they do the tea ceremony at church. We also talk about the rather surprising connection between Christianity and Sado.
