The Ark of the Covenant Week
1
#1242 "Christian World News #80"
This week, we bring you a couple of reports about influential Christians from the past: Adoniram Judson, pioneering missionary to Burma (now Myanmar), and John Calvin, Swiss theologian whose writings changed the course of Western Christianity. Finally, we have a fascinating report from Ethiopia about the search for the lost Ark of the Covenant.
Masayuki Moriyasu Week
2
#1243 "A Visit to the Moriyasu Shōgi Dōjō" -- Masayuki & Wakae Moriyasu

This week, we travel to the Moriyasu Shōgi Dōjō in Hyōgo Prefecture's Kawanishi City to interview shōgi master Masayuki Moriyasu. Before retiring in 2004 after 33 years in competition, Moriyasu was rated with a level seven (nana-dan) professional ranking in this game of skill that's known to the Western world as Japanese chess. Both Moriyasu and his younger brother, Hidemitsu (kyū-dan), received training in the game from Kingō Fujiuchi, a disciple of the famous shōgi master, Sankichi Sakata. Now, he operates his own dōjō (training school) to develop future shōgi players. In this program, we talk with him and his wife about the game of shōgi and about their faith in Christ.
Megumi Ando-Chang Week

#1244 "A Chinese Woman Encounters Christ" -- Megumi Andō-Chang

This week's guest, currently CEO of Chang & Company, was born in Shanghai, China and, after college, came to Japan to study in Tōkyō University's graduate school, earning a Master's degree. After graduation, she got a job with a firm that deals in foreign capital-related transactions and began to work hard. Not long afterwards, she met a Japanese man, married him and returned to Japan once again. Currently she works at a major Japanese television station doing translations of Chinese material for news programming. In this program, we talk to Ms. Chang about how her encounter with the Savior happened.
A New Journey Week

#1249 "Final Edit: A New Journey"

This is the final program in Harvest Time's long-running broadcast TV series. This last time, we take a look over the past 24 years and showcase some of the special guests and topics we've featured on the program during that time. In addition, we'll talk about some of the activities Harvest Time will be involved in from this point on. To all our viewers who have watched so faithfully over the years, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. (IFTV & Hawaii stations only)
