Hino Our guest for the next two programs is Dr. Okio Hino, professor of pathology at Juntendō University's Medical School. Dr. Hino has received numerous awards for his work and is Japan's foremost expert in the area of cancer pathology. Cases of cancer caused by exposure to asbestos have been calling attention to an increasingly serious public health problem. Dr. Hino, who has been working on the front lines of this battle to develop effective treatment, talks with us in this program about how the symptoms of this disease develop, and also about Juntendō University's ground-breaking outpatient clinic for folks with asbestos-related illnesses. |

Ali Rejeaian was born in Iran in 1969, the youngest of eight children. However, his father died when he was only six months old, leaving his mother alone to raise the family. Nabetani Today's guest is the author of a book published last December which has the provocative title, What If Jesus Were a Businessman? Author Kenichi Nabetani was a long-time employee of a major trading company and is currently the pastor of Nezu Christian Church in Tōkyō's Bunkyo Ward. The book deals with the real-life problems that business people encounter in everyday society and asks, "How would a Christian look at this? What would a Christian do in response?" Nabetani says that at one time, he himself hated anything that had to do with Christianity. In this program we talk with him about how it was that he became a pastor and why he wrote this book. |

Nakamura Rev. Yōji Nakamura is pastor of Kumamoto Harvest Church and about two years ago began serving as a chaplain at the Kumamoto Prison, as well. When Nakamura was five years old, his mother died from stomach cancer and, after a few more years, his father just abandoned him and his sisters and brother. Void of any purpose in life, Nakamura took to walking the streets at night with his friends. What was it that changed this young man and brought him to Christ? We talk with him about this and more in this program. |
