 This week, our first report is about the "Models for Christ" group in New York that is shining the light of Jesus Christ into the darkness of the fashion industry. Our final report is about Ruth Graham, the wife of famed evangelist Billy Graham, who passed away last summer. We look at her life of faith and the journey that she and her husband have traveled for more than 60 years.

The first week of April, the Japan Evangelical Lutheran Association (JELA) building in Tokyo's Ebisu area (that hosts our weekly Harvest Forum Tokyo meetings) served as the site for an exhibition of hand-made Bible dolls. Our guest this week is the creator of these figurines and currently serves with her husband as a missionary to Thailand. In this program, we take an up-close look at these dolls and talk with our guest about this unique ministry activity.

 In January of 2001, Eiko Nagamine gave birth by Caesarian Section to twins girls conjoined at the abdomen. The road that led to that event, however, was not a smooth path. Once it was discovered that the twins in her womb were conjoined, her doctor urged the Nagamines to abort the babies. In this program, we talk with them about what led them to choose life for their unborn children. The twins themselves join us in the studio for a look at how this decision played out in the life of the Nagamine family.

During the evening, pro golfer Tsuneyuki "Tommy" Nakajima addressed the crowd and shared a very moving testimony about how he met his wife and how his brother Atsushi came to Christ.

  As the originating force behind several Christian social movements in Japan, Toyohiko Kagawa began a ministry that spanned the first half of the 20th century. Next year, 2009, will be the 100th anniversary of Kagawa's decision to move into a Kobe slum and reach out to the poorest of the poor who lived there. In a spirit of "learning from the old to understand the new," we visit the Toyohiko Kagawa Archives & Resource Center in Tokyo's Setagaya Ward to learn about his work and the faith that undergirded it.

  After his 13-and-a-half year stint as host of NHK radio's "English Conversation" program, Katsuaki Tōgo is considered by many to be Japan's foremost expert on speaking the English language. He's currently a professor at Waseda University and the principal of Tōkyō's YMCA International School. Prof. Togo recently published a book entitled Let Your True Self Out that recounts a particularly traumatic event in his life and how that took him from a workaholic lifestyle to being an "at peace" believer in Jesus Christ. In this program, he talks with us about the details of that life-changing event.

Afterwards, we go through the Old City and come out in front of the Western Wall, where we think for awhile about the amazing history of the city of Jerusalem.

In February of 2007, a book with the title of Taking Off Darwin's Eyeglasses was published and has been stirring up some interest. The book's author is Kazuko Andō, a scientist with a doctorate in the biological sciences. Taking a leap beyond mere human reason, Dr. Andō became a Christian a few years ago and immediately began to look more deeply at the Bible from the perspective of theoretical biology. What was it that she found? In this program, we talk with her about her faith and her work.
