& Manhattan j-Gospel Band" After graduation from Japan's National Music Conservatory with a concentration in opera, Sasaki went to study in Italy and sang as a principal in operatic performances. As a high school student, he had dreamed of karate competition or of becoming a pro baseball player, but gave up those dreams after an injury. Later, as a motorcycle gang leader, he became a Christian but stumbled in his faith. Disputes with gangsters, fights with his 8th-degree karate black-belt father -- he had lived a violent life. But, after returning from Italy, his experience with the presence of God was like grabbing a live electrical wire. Now from the base of his New York studio, Sasaki proclaims the great and eternal love of God to all. |
