Kenichi Nakagawa in Tokyo as a non-denominational, evangelical Christian outreach ministry in January of 1986. The purpose of the organization has always been to preach the Gospel to the Japanese people through the medium of television. Broadcasts began in April of 1986 with the airing of a 30-minute magazine-style program on six regional TV stations. Currently, the program can be seen weekly in Japan on 13 terrestrial broadcast stations and on the SKY PerfecTV! direct broadcast satellite system (ch. 216).</font></p> <p><font face="Geneva, Arial, Helvetica" size="3">   </font><font face="Arial" size="3"> In April of 1988, "Harvest Time"<em> </em>began airing weekly programs for the Japanese-speaking people in Southern California on KSCI-TV, channel 18 in Los Angeles. Broadcasts in Hawaii (KIKU-TV, ch. 20) began in July of 1989. In addition, our programs can now be seen twice weekly throughout the United States on the Sky Angel service of the DISH Satellite Network (ch. 9701). All programs aired in the U.S. are broadcast with English sub-titles. Our U.S. office is located in Torrance, California.</font></p> <p><font face="Geneva, Arial, Helvetica"><font size="3">   <b>Harvest Time Ministries</b> is supported by over 6,000 individuals and by more than 900 churches. Nakagawa earned an M.Div. degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois and returned to Japan in 1979 to pioneer a church in Tokyo. He began <b>Harvest Time Ministries</b><em> </em>in 1986 and it has since become the largest producer of Christian television programming in Japan.
